Colombia

Colombia is a very versatile country, which will please most travelers.

In the north you will find coastal cities like Cartagena and Santa Marta, but also the Tayrona National Park. Just a few kilometers inland from Santa Marta you can enjoy the mountain town of Minca in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

On the other hand, inland locations like Medellin, Salento and Bogota offer a different perspective. Medellin was once known as the most infamous city in the world, but it has made a remarkable transformation to a very pleasant city with friendly and proud inhabitants. Salento on the other hand, is located within the coffee triangle, and offers access to the famous Cocora valley with the world’s largest palm trees. Bogota is the capital city located in the Andes Mountains. It offers a blend of history and art and this is often traveler’s first experience with Colombia.

Each region of Colombia, whether in the north with its national parks and coastal towns or the inland cities, offers a unique and diverse experience.
